About Me:
I am well-qualified medical doctor with extensive experience in public health in the broader infectious diseases domain and have a wealth of medical experience in TB, HIV and TB/HIV and others opportunistic infection. I have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills as well as experience in grant writing, proposal development, data analysis and manuscript writing for publication. Beside my MBChB degree, I hold a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from Johns Hopkins BLOOMBERG School of Public Health in collaboration with USAID, and another certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights from Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research (GFMER); a Master degree in Public Health from Texila American University (Guyana); and Post Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and Primary Health Care from Stellenbosch University (South Africa). I have been practicing medicine since 2006; my knowledge and experience promoted me to be chosen as the head of paediatric department in the Military Hospital of Goma in Democratic Republic of Congo where I worked for two years in the most stressfully environment as civilian personnel working in the military hospital. I also worked for 6 years in Lesotho as Medical Doctor with the Ministry health and Social Welfare then with Baylor College of Medicine supporting HIV/TB in children. I also worked in Namibia supporting HIV, TB and Malaria program with the Global fund and the ministry of health and Social Services.
