About Me: I am a health professions council (HPC) registered drama and movement therapist. I have worked in the UK and Ghana with children and adults on the autistic spectrum; as well as with gender-based violence (domestic violence against women and children). I am a psychotherapist who works through arts mediums of story-telling; play and creative movement as processes for psychological and social development and well-being. I work directly with clients and often with support teams to encourage systemic working.
Donate: Please support meI am in the process of looking for psycho-social work overseas with women and children; or children affected by disabilities and autism. I also campaign for charities to raise lokcal government's awareness of children poverty and starvation and our roles and responsibilities to work globally on these issues.
Health Specialty: Care Giver Area of Focus: Autism: sensory and communication differences in ASD. Use of developmental movement to support relationships through touch-based movement and forms of non-verbal communication.
Gender-based violence: emotional and therapeutic support for women and children affected by violence and abuse. Use of social theatre models to raise awareness of issues through art forms and drama. Skills: Interpersonal/ communication skills: I work therapeutically both through talking and non-verbal communication methods. I am able to work symbolically through images, movement and enactments brought to therapy by my clients.
Reflective practice- an ability to consider client material and significant moments from practice.
Assessment, formulation and intervention: assessment of clients through interviews, assessment tools and observations. Developing a working hypothesis from assessment information which is used to inform therapeutic aims and interventions used.
Joint-working- exoerience working with a wide range of professionals with integrated health and social care teams; emergency services (police and hospitals); and direct care staff and families of clients.
