Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
We are a non profit, non denominational, humanitarian program. We are dedicated to bring health to the poor and semi poor of Honduras. We also work with the prisoners of Honduras as well.
We have a genreal medical clinic as well as bringing medical and surgical teams from around the world to work in the outer areas of Honduras where many have never seen Doctors or Dentists or Optometrists. When we can we bring in speicialists as well as there are few here.
WE also have a medical students program here and students beginning with pre-meds to residents do their elctives here. It is a minimum of 4 week and maximum of one year program. We accept Nursing students and PA,s as well.
WE teach English classes as well and need teachers for that.
We also work with the prisoners in Honduras and do medical and evangelical work there too. We visit the families of the prisoners to see what can be done to help them too.
We do building projects and look for construction teams to come in and do house repair for the very poor as well.
We work with the local young peoples center too.
There are no affiliation requirements. Yes we are a Christian based organization but we accept everyone here.
As far as skill requirments it depends on what you are coming to do.
It is best to have basic spanish but is not requirement as we have interpreters. You do need to pay the interpreter.
We have a dorm setting and can house 30 people at a time.
