We provide a comprehensive range of health services including 24-hour emergency care, cardiology services, maternity care, advanced neonatal and pediatric intensive care, and a number of specialties. Our Volunteer Program at FVRHMC has provided ongoing assistance and support to our patients, medical staff and community for over 30 years. Our volunteers are a dynamic group of 250+ active people. They come to us from all walks of life and experiences. Volunteer assignments are determined by individual interest, availability and department need. FVRH Volunteers must represent our Living Values and meet the following requirements: Must be at least 14 years of age (see below for Jr. Volunteers) Submit a completed application Complete a Personal Interview Undergo Background Screening Clearance Pass a Medical Health Screening Attend a Hospital Orientation Give one four hour shift each week Commit to a Minimum six month service Junior Volunteer Program: Our Juniors are an elite group of 30 high school students who are selected to represent the youth of our community through their values, enthusiasm and genuine interest to help others. This opportunity is open to all students ages 14-17 years of age. Application packets are available annually the first week of May. Our Juniors are obligated to volunteer from September-June with a monthly requirement of eight hours.
