Since 1983, Clinica Msr. Oscar A. Romero has served a primarily low-income, uninsured and underserved clientele. Serving the Greater Los Angeles community has meant providing healthcare to a diverse population representing several languages including the indigenous community. Annually, Clinica Romero provides over 45,000 health and health related visits to patients and clients who represent 142 zip codes. MEDICAL SERVICES: Exams: Complete physicals. Cancer Screenings: Lab tests, ultrasounds. Chronic Disease Management: Medications and lifestyle regimens for avoiding complications associated with asthma, heart disease, hypertension, high blood pressure and diabetes. Prescription Drugs: Patients receive available prescribed drugs for all income levels. Health Education/Nutrition: Counseling and information on healthful living. Support groups and one-to-one sessions for diabetics, and other chronic diseases. Pediatrics: Services for well-child visits for healthy growth and development. Prenatal Care: Prenatal classes and nutritional guidance. Vaccinations: Pediatric immunizations and adult vaccines are available. Family Planning: Programs to assist young and beginning families. HIV/AIDS/STD Testing: Counseling, testing and referrals are provided upon request. DENTAL SERVICES: Exams: Complete oral examinations for adults including x-rays. Complete Oral Care: Extractions, fillings and limited anterior root canal treatment. Cleanings: Periodontal treatment. Pediatric Dental Care: Oral exam with x-rays, sealants, silver crowns, spacers. Oral Hygiene: Fluoride treatments.
