Patient Family Volunteer needed for 6 to 12 months
Opportunity Description: Provides emotional support and practical assistance, no hands on care. Must be flexible, non-judgemental and speak English. Volunteers must commit to at least 3 hours per week when they have an assignment.

Organizational Volunteer needed for 1 to 3 months
Opportunity Description: Provides clerical support, data entry, and reception in our office. No special skills required, but must speak English. Most office volunteers donate 3 to 4 hours per week, usually one morning or afternoon. Our office is open Mon-Fri, 8:30 to 5:00.

Our mission is to enhance life by providing dignified and compassionate care and guidance to those coping with loss and the end of life. We are an independant not-for-profit Medicare-certified hospice that uses trained volunteers to provide supportive services in addition to the services provided by our paid staff. No medical or professional skills are required, only the ability to be flexible and non-judgemental. Volunteers must complete a 21 hour training program in order to work with patients and families; our office volunteers receive on the job training. Must speak English.
