Opportunity Description: Do you like to be around people? Are you looking for something to do to keep you busy during this wacky Iowa weather? Do you like to giveback? Well then we just might have the opportunity for you! Mahaska Health Partnership Helping Hands is the volunteer program here at Mahaska Health Partnership. We are seeking individuals to help brighten our patients/visitors day. Admitting Information Desk Weekends: Help patients and visitors find their correct floors in the hospital. Assist visitors with patient room numbers .Deliver flowers and patient mail upon arrival. Tiddy up waiting area and brochures.Shred paper.If you like to craft or read this is the perfect opportunity to catch up on a hobby AND give back! Couples who would like to volunteer together for this spot may call to apply.Who could ask for anything more? We have several shifts available! To assure our patients, visitors and staffs safety each potential volunteer must complete all of the following before being admitted in the program. Medical Specialty center provides various services for our community. From their growing Med Spa to their outside specialty doctors that visit us each week their is always something to do at the Specialty Clinic. Volunteers are need for our information desk. Volunteers greet and assist patients and visitors that visit our hospital. Assist in giving directions, answering minor questions and taking patients to their destinations. We have several shifts available! To assure our patients, visitors and staffs safety each potential volunteer must complete all of the following before being admitted in the program. Clerical Volunteer: Clerical volunteers come in a few times a month and help with minor projects going on here at MHP.They assist staff in completion of these projects. It could be filing, faxing, stapling, copying, answering phones, computer data, folding brochures, stuffing envelopes, addressing envelopes, sticking labels on envelopes.
