Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
As kids learn the skills needed to manage their disease, they’re also learning valuable social and teambuilding skills that they will use their entire life. All this is done in a trusting, caring and nurturing environment where kids play and learn from each other while on-site mentors/role models share their life experiences about how they coped with similar challenges.

During the diabetes camping sessions, counselors and onsite medical staff closely monitor and manage the blood sugar levels of each camper. Camp Glyndon at Lions Camp Merrick has an extraordinary reputation throughout the medical community for the work it does with diabetic children.
