Pharmacy Technician Assistants needed in

Job Description:
• Pulling the correct medications from the pharmacy shelves.
• Counting the needed number of tablets and capsules and placing them in an appropriate size bottle. (The pharmacist must check all work done by the technician.)
• As you pull the correct medications from the pharmacy shelves, notice if the stock is getting low; if so, place this item on the order sheet. Check the expiration date and discard if expired.
• Re-shelve medication that has been used to fill prescriptions after the pharmacist has completed the process.
• Assist in stocking the shelves with donated medication

Pharmacy Client Assistant needed in
200 East Tenth Street, Winston-Salem, NC
Job Description:
• Greet clients and interviewers at window.
o Dropping off medication
Ask the patient if they would like to wait for the medication. If so, give the patient an approximate wait time and direct them to the waiting area.
Fill out a yellow receipt with the patient information.
Place prescription information and yellow receipt into the appropriate basket (red=waiting) and pass to the pharmacy technician.
o Pick-up
Ask the patient how many prescriptions they are expecting.
Always verify the patient’s date of birth with the date of birth on the yellow receipt.
Remove the yellow receipt and place it in the basket. Make sure to note any messages on the receipt. For instance, if the medication is in the refrigerator, if they need to provide financial documentation, no refills, or if they need to speak to the pharmacist.
Ask the patient if they have any questions for the pharmacist and have them sign the signature log.
• Telephone
When patients call in to request a refill, record their information on a yellow receipt and place it into a non-waiting basket for the pharmacy technician.
Take messages when necessary and transfer calls to the appropriate staff.
Field questions about patient’s medication status.
Bag finished prescriptions.
Make sure that the name on the prescription bottles matches the yellow receipt. Place the medication and patient information printouts inside a bag. Attach the yellow receipt and any patient notices (green sheets, pink sheets, refill denials, etc.) to the outside of the bag.
Place the bag in the appropriate pick up bin.
Afternoon staff – Bundle all yellow receipts for the day. Write date on front receipt and place in the designated box.
