We ask our volunteers to commit to at least one year of service, with a minimum of 100 hours within that year. Volunteer opportunities are limited to people over the age of 18, with the exception of our High School Program, for ages 15-18 that runs from June through August. Childrens National Medical Center has two volunteer programs available to participants: Patient Care Volunteers and High School Volunteers. Community groups are welcome to assist our patients by either donating toys for Dr. Bears Toy Closet, donating personal supplies to our concierge closet, or by assembling activity boxes for the kids.
